New FO, the jacket (picture)

My jacket is finished!

...and just in time to go with me to Amsterdam, Netherlands tomorrow morning! I am SO happy for my autumn holiday, we will stay private with friends!

I think the jacket is nice on, and very different from lying on the table. ...and I look like "I should"; my OWN age!LOL!

I forgot to tell that I have changed the pattern on the arms, just because I thought it would be more "interesting" to knit. Here is the link to the pattern picture. It is originally made from cotton; mine is"warmer" plain wool and thinner yarn, so the result is very different, I think.

That's FABULOUS!

I prefer your version of the pattern as well, with a much more lively structure.

Have a nice travel!

It's beautiful! I heard recently that pink is "the" color this fall so you will look very stylish wearing it in Amsterdam.

OK I was right then you have not gone as yet, Your jacket looks great and you will be the talk of the town...Have a great time, go for the herring at a stall and a plate of poffertjes, with lots of icing sugar on them or a huge cream puff @ Kwakkeboom, if they are still there. Enjoy

Aud, I just read in my last Handwerken Zonder Grenzen a Dutch textile magazine dat there is lots going on in the Textiel Museum in Tilburg. You do need to take a train to get there but it can be done in a day, maybe when you husband goes and watches Ajax socker team....LOL

There is also a great "handbag" museum in Amstelveen a suburb from Amsterdam Tassen museum Hendrikje, Zonnestein 1 amstelveen Tel: (020)- 64

Nora, I wasn't allowed in either - maybe it's an AOL thing.

I couldn't get in through on safari but was able to do it on my older internet explorer. I think it was simply a different server - maybe due to a security system for the server.
