I hope you all have long memories - if not you will have forgotten this pest form downunder. All my memory tells me at the moment is how much I have
*really missed* you folk. I have felt totally cut off from my friends and the world - goddness how one misses a computer. It has been quite a saga - first on the 29th November my dial up moden either blew up with a storm or gave up from old age which ever came first. Since Shauna (DD#1)had told me that in January ,when on my yearly visit to Melbourne, she would be giving me a new computer with XPpro to replace my old windows 95 and that I would then be able to go onto broadband I did not see any reason to get a new dial up modem.
So off to Melbourne and the new computer ( I had to take my old one down so that she could copy all my files etc )and then home to get back to my friends ,all very simple - easy there smarty pants no such luck - first the ISP decided they had to do some thing to get me connected and that would take a week - well that is not long thought I - except that the connection would not work and the ISP got Telstra to check the lines and they said all was well to the the building and that i would have to get someone in to check the lines in the building ( Oh Yeah!!) So on and on it went until here I am.
I have no hope in joining in with any of the posts so i will start afresh from here - my quick scanning tell me there are lots of new names so a big welcome to you all and I hope everyone has kept well and if I have missed any lovely birthdays or anniversies ect I send my best wishes to all those folk
Fortunately - thank you Nora - I have been able to keep up with the 6 x 6 - one lifeline I had at least !!! so byr for now God Bless Gwen
