Does anyone know of a freely-available pattern for a ladies' vest knit sideways, in stockinet or garter stitch? I know there was one sideways-knit vest in "Knit'n'style" April 06, but I'm wondering if there are any alternatives. Thanks. -- Jackie
Marilyn -- the "pattern generator" looks complicated, but the vest is exactly what I was looking for, so I printed it all out and I'll study it and see if I think I can do it. Thank you!
Mirjam -- Let me know if you come up with any other pattern choices. I've picked out yarn too, although I haven't ordered it yet -- an ebay seller named Francis Patrick has some beautiful hand-dyed Lamb's Pride worsted. I'm hoping someone in my family will ask what I want for Hanukah and I'll request that -- otherwise, I'll give in and order it myself.
There is a place called "Knitting Pattern Central" that I always check first when wanting a free pattern. There are a gazillion patterns, and I did find a sideways vest. I'd suggest looking through the whole listing for vests - who knows what you may find.
