It sounds interesting. But I can see one potential problem. My cat would help it "count" by swatting at the ends of the needles. The stitches would really add up then. LOL.
Does it say how much, Laura? **I** couldn't find 'that'!!! Noreen
There is no "how much" as it is just a prototype and not likely to ever go any further IMO. You would have to be a serious gadget-geek to use one of those. And I'll bet it doesn't know how to subtract when the you're frogging!
Excellent deduction, Dr. Watson! I never 'thought' of that! ( "And I'll bet it doesn't know how to subtract when the you're frogging!" ) LOL Noreen
And will it be able to handle short rows? Also, what happens in a knitting group with several knitters having these devices in use? Wouldn't each counter have to be set with a unique frequency so your count didn't get confused with someone else's? I got the impression that while her grandmother & aunt knit, she doesn't...she may think the problem is simpler than it really is. carolyn in cary, nc

MORE excellent deductions! LOL, Noreen
Especially if you don't switch hands for them.

Back to my post a notes ! Barbie
I don't think it is on the market yet, Noreen. It's just a prototype which may or may not be sold commercially sometime in the future. So I guess we will all have to wait patiently!
