Sunday AM: coffee, RCTY and 'blog-surf'

We are having the same miserable hot weather here. The official high yesterday was 99 F which is about 37 C. It was cloudy today until late afternoon and didn't get as hot but it turned more humid which makes it even more uncomfortable for me. I haven't been outside at all since yesterday morning. I've spent the day working on sewing projects - converting 2 pairs of pants with frayed hems into cropped pants.

Glad we had our week at the lake earlier - though at least there I could sit in the lake if it got too hot and sticky in the cabin. It is sunny and 79 here. I worked in the yard this afternoon - need to get some of that done so that the place looks decent by the time of the wedding. Things grow like mad here - the house would be covered if I didn't keep hacking away at stuff. Blackberries are getting ripe, though, so I am glad I haven't ever fully succeeded in eliminating them. I do insist they stay on the other side of the front fence, however. Judy

DH & I have been picking raspberries for the last few days. We eat them right there, they never make it into the house (laugh).

Don't want to brag, but here the weather is perfect. Warm and sunny with a cool ocean breeze. Michelle and I hiked into Mill Bay, while Opa watched the little one (she had her afternoon nap) Skye has gone to daycamp. They went to Victotia to a gym for special gymnastics. In the afternoon they went swimming. I got up this morning at 5 o'clock and took all the strawberry plants out. Made the bed smaller and will put something that will take less care to look after. Even though it is a great strawberry season, some little critters ate all ours. LOL. So that is it for me, no more battles about who get the berries...LOL
