Woohoo!! Good job. It's always nice to finish something. I love it when I finish a dishcloth. They're definitely in the "instant gratification" section for me :-)
Good choice. My aunt always said that if you can't see the mistake it's not worth ripping.
I just ripped an entire sock. Okay, I was just a bit past the heel, but it didn't fit the way I liked it. That's what I get for actually paying attention to gauge when making socks; I used the size of needle to get the gauge it said when I should have just used the needles specified in the pattern. I hardly ever pay attention with socks, as I make relatively short cuffs and don't do any shaping.
So I am
I wouldn't block it unless I was going to use it as a block in a sampler afghan. If it's gonna be used as a dishcloth or washcloth it's just gonna get wet and washed anyway. I never block my dishcloths.
Nothing better than your own private stash
Good for her! Fun scarves are great projects for kids. My youngest is working on her second one, but I suspect this one won't get worn; it's green instead of pink, which is her favorite color, and she's using this one as more of a "sampler" to learn the purl stitch.
It's always fun to pick your next project. I'm debating starting that sock pattern again or moving on to something else, although knowing me I'll restart the sock because I hate to give up on a project.
Have fun!
