Where do I buy Lanolin for wool diaper covers?

Oct 01, 2006 2 Replies

What stores generally sell Lanolin I can use to waterproof wool diaper covers? Would outdoor stores sell a suitable lanolin I can use for diapers? I don't want to purchase it online, so I'm looking for idea on what types of stores would normally sell a type of lanolin that I can safely use on diapers.

Thanks!

The little tubes sold at pharmacy for nursing moms to use on their nipples are grossly overpriced.

Here's where I buy all my base oils for soapmaking (except for olive oil, which I buy in bulk from the local food service distributor) including bulk lanolin. If you oil your hair their price on Jojoba is pretty good too.

Reply to the list as I do not publish an email address to USENET. This practice has cut my spam by more than 95%. Of course, I did have to abandon a perfectly good email account...

Hm, have you tried your LYS? I use my leftover Lanisoh (from the local pharmacy but, as Wooly mentioned, too $$ to purchase for just this purpose) and some spray lanolin but I got that online
