Does anyone know of any sources for lamp bases for floor lamps stained glass shades? I have a very large stained glass dragonfly shade that I built years ago and need a sturdy antique repro base. Have not been able to find anything. Thanks in advance.

There is an excellent outfit in California that has made Tiffany repro lamp hardware for ages.... very good stuff, not cheap looking and priced accordingly, though not unreal, last time I checked. Paul Crist Sturios .... found this on net >>

I have about 10 OLD FLOOR LAMP BASES in multiple stages of "dis-repair", some even have base lights, multiple sockets, a large mogul base bulb fitter, individual lighting controls and so on. These with some creativity could be made to work for the fly. I also have some HEAVY WEIGHTS that go in the bottom of them.
If you are serious, I can take a few jpgs and send them to you....... be prepared to pay me for my time and a modicum of $$$$$ for the actual base. Shipping may also take some creativity,as they are (of course around 5 to 6 feet tall)
