Where did all my good needles go

Needle heaven

I used to have lots of the nice Susan Bates gold needles.

All them are gone - if I ever tear the couches apart, I'm sure I'll find them all

Nope, I think they're in needle heaven along with all the lost needles from my house. I do hope they get together every so often to talk and have some coffee and reminisce about the good old days, when they had a good and loving home.

It is my experience that you never find lost needles. Other people do. Especially when they are in couch arms or cushions.

Or in their bare feet. How DID that needle get in the middle of the living room anyway?

For me too often the question is: Oh there's the top of that needle I broke the other day, now where do you suppose the other part is?

And speaking of broken needles......just what brands are more renowned for breaking than others? It's one of my biggest pet peeves, yet since my needles are mostly never kept in their original packages, I never seem to know which brands to avoid buying next time around.

Get a reasonable sized magnet - tie a string to it and pull it over the carpets. Also handy for retrieving needles down the backs of chairs and sofas.

I keep forgetting about that. Now the bigger question. Where the hell did I put that old horseshoe magnet that belonged to my mother????
