Things I really wish I didn't have to sew

Knowing how to alter patterns so they fit perfectly and not having the time to do it can be a curse when there are already too few hours in your day.

Bras shoes/slippers handbags slacks (RTW does not fit me) dresses jackets sweaters (substitute knit for sew -- I have the whole body and all but the ribbing of one sleeve done and have to finish the ribbing and knit the other sleeve and I'm done *wilt*)

Maybe in a few days you will feel like you just HAVE to sew and it will all come together. Barbara in Cold FL

Yeah, right now it all feels too overwhelming. I would rather not have to sew absolutely everything now that I have a full-time job plus a part-time job, but try telling my OCD that... LOL

I wish I didn't *have to* sew anything. I wish I could go out and buy everyday clothes which actually fit, and could save my creative impulses for the special clothes.

Ah well, "If wishes were horses, then beggars would ride".

Yeah, that's about where I am at, and right now the list of what I have to sew is sky-high. I tried to advertise on Craigslist to find someone to help me with the more complicated and/or time-consuming parts of what I need, but all I got were people who wanted to do the whole shebang, people who were expecting me to dump a huge pile of work on them on a one-time-only basis, and people who would be glad to learn how to copy patterns from clothes, etc., on my dime. That, or else they were so far away it was just too much to try to get to where they were.
