Greetings all,
I am searching for a yummy tomato based sauce to put on pasta/spaghetti. Lots of veggies and stuff.....I love the veg but I am searching for a basic sauce recipe.
I can't wait for all of the recipes.

This is news:rec.food.baking . A group that discusses, cakes, cookies, bread, etc., NOT sugo, unless it = goes on a pizza, I presume. Check the news:rec.food.cooking group for cooking recipes.
I think you will have to change groups to get a flood of recipes.

This is like what 'mamma' makes and very traditional. I make up a triple batch!
500g mince meat plus minced pork 1 bottle tom puree - pure toms nothing else 1 onion garlic to your taste salt to taste 1 bottle of white wine - not red!Usual process. I cook to reduce for around three hours.
Cook pasta, drain. Add sauce to pasta pot, with pasta and heat through. Now none of this 'place the sauce on top of the pasta'. This in NOT how Italians do it and how on earth can the flavours penetrate the pasta?
Use in lasagne, in sandwich makers as calzone fillings on pizza
