AD and Big Step For Me! - Tinkster

Well, the ad part is that I have three whole beads up on my site today. Took me all night to make them, too. I can't wait until I'm feeling better. I get darn cranky when I can't melt glass when and how I want to. I'm spoiled :-)

I must say though that I'm drawn to brighter colors when I'm doped up. LOL! I have a blue dichro rune bead up, a pink filigrana hollow and a RetroRune in lime green and bright turquoise. You can take a peek at:

Now, for the Big Step part: I have an ad in a magazine. Not Bead & Button, or Lapidary Journal or anything like that. I've put an ad in Chile Pepper Magazine for my Chile Pepper vessels! This will be the first "studio piece" from Black Swamp Glassworks. The issue officially hits the streets on August 31st, but the big push will come the weekend of September 11/12 --- This issue is a double printing, as it's handed out free at the ZestFest that weekend. I thought that might be an advantageous issue to be in.

Anyway, I'm nervous and excited about this. You can see their website here:

It's a colorful, slick, quality publication with devout readership. And they love buying stuff, from what I hear. LOL! Wish me luck! Tink Check here for available work:

I hope you're right. LOL! I think the ad looks a little cheesy, but their ad people took the pic and did the layout and everything. I always did that myself, before. Just don't have the time nor the inclination to do so these days.

Here's the final version:

Oh I love it, Tink--can be filled with your favorite condiment! Put some habenero sauce in there and we're goooooood to go!

Are you using a lowish screen resolution? It's in the centre of the page, and at 1024x768 I could only see the top 1/4 of it when it loaded.

Great ad, although I wish it were in color so you can really see the beads.

I love that Retro Rune bead...sigh.

Love the beads, not surprised the dichro sold quickly! Good luck with your ad, it sounds like a good idea.

Now to make a stand or something to sit them in as condiment servers for the table....

Just an idea,
