Thanks Tina!! That's one of my favorite sets, too! I suddenly found that picture/auction hidden away in some old files. No idea how it got there but I was so happy to have found it again!

You knew I'd have to have those beads.

When I graduated from high school in the boring Midwest in Wisconsin, I appeared at our graduation ceremony wearing a genuine, glorious plumeria lei instead of a corsage on my graduation gown. This was 1971 so you would imagine I caused a bit of a stir with my 'hippie flowers'. And no, I would not take them off for the ceremony.

I was sent it as a gift from a friend who had been born in Hawaii. It was the most amazing thing to wear and to smell. And of course, no one else had anything even remotely resembling it.
