AD: Obsessed with Frit and Loving It!

Happy Friday Everyone!

I almost didn't get auctions listed today. I got kidnapped yesterday, the day I'd planned to do beads for tonight. It was a Good Thing on one hand, but almost left my auctions high and dry. I got up bright and early today and had everything made by noon. Lucky that, since my kids only had a half-day and came home just after I ramped down the kiln. By the time we were done with our errands and fun stuff (poking through a music store and brand new Barnes & Noble), the beads were cool and ready for your viewing pleasure. So here they are!

On Ebay:

A little trio of apricot frit, with a hollow focal:

A pretty feathered blue bicone:

A very organic-looking tube bead with raku stringer and silver foil:

And another raku tube bead that reminds me of paisley scarves:

On Justbeads:

A bright trio of bumpy beads with blue and green accents:

A clear red tube with stark black swirls and dots:

Another organic tube, similar to the one on Ebay but different color shifts:

And one more raku stringer variation with squiggles and silver on transparent gray:

That's it for now! I might or might not have listings on Tuesday. It all depends on the weather this weekend. I have a few reserve beads and could certainly do with some housecleaning sets, just in case. We're expecting our very own hurricane...Javier, whooshing up from a vacation in Baja. Let it rain!

Have a great weekend and thanks for looking!

OMG.. the peach one and the aqua one... and that grey flutter are just gorgous. The spirally one is amazing, though I can't immagine what someone will make out of it! (Would love to see it in finished product. Well, all of them, actually!)

I *love* Dash-Dot! And if I'm not mistaken, you have a fairly well-known, published, award-winning lampworker bidding on it.

Thank you thank you!

I got some new Val frit colors yesterday....a deep rich transparent cranberry pink (very similar to the Bullseye trans color), more raku frit in a larger size, a pretty opaque periwinkle blue (very close to the Moretti pastel) and a color she's calling Neptune Blue....a gorgeous blue-green kinda like aqua transparent if it were opaque. It's so yummy!

For some reason, lately, nearly every bead I'm "just playing" with seems to be a keeper (and even selling). Charmed life and all that. I try not to think too hard, and just keep melting stuff. But it sure is cool to open the kiln and find that everything worked.

KarenK (more experiments up tonight)
