AD: Winged Vessel

I finally got up the nerve to work on a vessel again last night. It was the only thing I did and it took a while at that. I think my mind said "enough" when I was finished. It's has strong influences of Tink and also of my bat beads.

I couldn't get the dang thing to hang straight but I did my best with my homemade light box.

I love it - it evokes strong feelings in me, and the wings are very much like your bats.

Thank you. I love it too. I don't know what it is about that vessel but strong feelings is right on the money.

Oh My Gawd.....I looked and do you know what I saw? Another huge step in Starlia's glass evolution. I am *impressed*, to say the very least.

You know I kinda felt the same way. There are times when you are working with glass when you know the technique, give it a try, and walk away for a while. That's exactly what I did. I haven't even tried making a vessel since taking Jennifer's class in the spring. I have no idea what motivated me to try another vessel but it's leaps and bounds better than my others.

Sweetheart--that vessel fairly screams " I AM! " it doesn't sit there languidly and just look pretty--it _does_ something--and you made it that way.

I think it's lovely, and it has a sort of African-tribal feel to it to me, like a masked dancer has frozen motionless in his dance and is staring at you, inches from your face.
