Another knitted jewellery item.

Dec 09, 2006 7 Replies

I was busy knitting my third bracelet with gold plated wire and amethyst chip beads when I had an idea. So I put the half done bracelet to one side.

I asked DH if he could cut me a 2.1/2 inch square block of wood for a mould. I made a frame with hanger in 1.2mm gold plated wire around the wood..

Then I knitted a square using the amethysts and wired it in the frame.

I then made a necklace to hang it on. You can see it under Beadwork on my website.

Shirley! That makes a lovely pendant!! Very pretty!

Another lovely piece, Shirley! I like the delicacy of the amethyst against the wire. :)))) Bravo! love, Linda

Thanks for sharing.

Ooooh so pretty! I bet you hated working with the purple, though. :) I know you and purple don't mix!
