buna cord

can someone explain me what is buna cord, but in details:) my friends and i have trouble recognising it just from photos:)

I believe it is just another name for rubber cording. (maybe a trade name?) there is some closeup here about halfway down the page

No, buna is different from rubber cording, although the textures are similar. Rubber is a natural product, buna is not. The true trade name is Buna-N for nitrile.

Barb's right - of course! it is nitrile - actually it is used for commercial purposes of making O rings and stuff like that...looks and feels like "rubber" -
