Crazy eBayer with a scam

Yeah, it's kind of scary. We had that scary ebay bidder awhile back that pulled scams on a ton of lampworkers and just would not stop - this seems similar. I have put this ID on my blocked list. There are a few good, reputable bidders whose feedback is private, but if people have negatives *and* private feedback, I try and stay clear. ((((((hugs))))))) to Starlia! I hope your bad ebayer gets kicked off ebay!

I am certainly working on getting her kicked off. I can't believe the stuff she is pulling.

Starlia -- I just kept going back to seller resources and clicking on every link possible to complain, LOL. It worked.

I am working on it right now. I filed a complaint about the negative comments on the feedback. If she wants to give me bad feedback I can live with it. Calling me inflammatory names is another thing.

All the advice I can offer is to keep complaining to eBay, and keep track of a buyer who comes out of nowhere and wants to buy a lot. Check and see what else she's bidding on. Try and establish a rapport with her, and see if she seems normal. If feedback is hidden, make it a policy to decline to accept bids. I can think of no legitimate reason to hide feedback. I don't know all the intracacies of Paypal, but if they offer any form of seller protection, insist on payment by Paypal, and take advantage of any protection they offer.

Good luck. I'm sad to say that this is going to become more common for a while, until a system comes into place that identifies and communicates these kooks to the world. Like a (ugh) credit bureau for bidders, and probably even for sellers. Today's feedback system doesn't go quite far enough, since it allows people to change identities at will.

Sympathetically to Starlia, and overcome with the desire to kick the licorice chick with a nice, comfy (to me) Birkenstock.

Fortunately Adriana is a friend and I have already heard of this nutcase's antics with her... GAWD I can't believe she's doing this to you too! I would forward both her emails, and ALL of your correspondence with her, to eBay ASAP. If you have not yet returned the MO, *please* take a digital pic of it so you have proof of the mailing date! When you return it, send it back w/delivery confirmation. This one is not so harmless... the stuff she's pulling with Adriana could land her in jail. If I were in Adriana's shoes I would have already started legal proceedings, and you should keep that in mind in case she escalates with you. Be careful, keep GOOD records, and don't hesitate to file a police report if you feel it might be at all justified. You can also fill out a USPS fraud form, because she sent her money order through USPS and they will consider a report anytime their services are involved in any way. It is definitely illegal, and coercion, for her to demand money from you.

Don't be afraid to file a neg right back, and also definitely file FVF, since she violated the terms of the auction by waiting too long to send payment. It only takes three FVF refunds to get her kicked off, though undoubtedly she'll be back with a new ID.

I did this back when I was trying to get a seller to send me an item (over $100) that I had paid for but never received. It worked.

This brings up a thought... if she's emailing you directly, forward all her harrassing emails to her sysadmin. SO MUCH THE BETTER if she's emailing you from her work.
