Crimps with Fireline?

I like to use Fireline, in preference to Softflex or whatever, but I have a problem positioning knots just where I want them, despite trying to guide them into place with a whatever. Can I use crimps instead? I've not tried it, fearing they would cut the line eventually.

TIA

Ken

So far, I've only used the 14 lb., but I use it doubled even in seed beads. It makes knotting a breeze because I'm working with two strings instead of one. At the end of a string, I make a very tight square knot, add a size 15 seed (yes, both strands will fit through), then another square knot, and a clamshell around the bead and both knots.

Cheers, Carla

**so far** the crimps have not cut my Fireline. but i don't think it's a good idea to use it on the 4lb.

there is a technique to get the knots where you want them, but i don't know how to explain it in words.
