Fireline - Large Rolls of 4- or 6-lb?

Can anyone point me to a good source for large bulk rolls of 4- or 6-lb Fireline? The best I can do in the fishing aisle of Walmart is 8 lb, which is okay, doesn't leave the project as soft as with 4- or 6-lb.

Thanks!!

Karen

Karen,

I got a 300 yard spool of Fireline at my locally owned Huntin' n' Fishin' store (aka Kevin's Sporting Goods) - see if you have any non-chain/franchise shops around and call them. You can also try

Good news, there's 3 colors now (yaaaaaaaaaaay) Smoke (original) bright green, and bright pink (which scared me when I saw it, 'cos I was like "ummm... it's not 1989.... is it?? crap" but when you pull out a strand, it looks lighter and less harsh than when it's all "together" on the spool (does that make sense? I hope so.)

Bead and Button's latest issue is WAY off--they did a thread comparison on a buncha popular brands, all with pros & cons listed. The con for Fireline they listed was that it's "Only available in one color." Nuh-Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhh :-P

Yeah it's minor, but.... it made me feel smart when I read it. (It's the little things....)

Looks like I'll be hitting K-Mart this weekend :) I haven't tried the green, but I'll give the pink a shot.

Cheers, Carla
