I was one of the worlds worst about dumping beads until I took my class with Jennifer Geldard. She absolutely refused to let any of us dunk our beads. She said that she used to do it too but hated wasting all that time spent on a bead. She said if it doesn't look good add more glass, add enamels and start with a clean slate, do anything but dunk them. Now I only dunk if the bead release is broken to the point that I can't move on. It's weird but cool things happen with beads that could have been dunked before.

That is an interesting way to look at it too. I think if I lampworked Id do that simply out of curiousity. Diana
