According to their web site, which is in German - UHU is a German brand. UHU Creativ is primarily a glue for children to use in crafts: popsicle sticks, colored paper, that kind of thing. With what they're saying, I doubt it would be any good for beading.

I use either "Quick Grab," which I call "the toxic glue that glues anything to anything else" or watch crystal glue - Hypo Crystal Cement. I was in my local Michael's this evening, and amazingly enough, they have it. Michael's appears to be really upgrading their bead department, and there are now some quality items there. However, their beading stuff is darned expensive: $6.99 for 10 feet of 49 strand Acculon!

Quite the contrary. I've found that UHU glue is terrific, much better than Elmer's for paper gluing and kids' crafts.

It's just that the stuff you bought isn't the right tool for the job you want to do. Save the UHU for another purpose (or bring it back) and get some Hypo-Cement for jewelrymaking. Using the UHU Creativ on something non porous would be an exercise in frustration.
