Hi Group, I'm rather new to all of this and was stumped on how to attach cone beads? Could someone please explain the process to me. TIA Andrea Manella ndd1"at"ptd.net

Make/get an eyepin. Attach the strands to the eyepin (or to a jumpring that you can attach to the eyepin. Poke the eyepin through the cone, from the big end towards the little end. Finish off the straight end of the eyepin with a loop. Attach clasp.

HOpe this helps.

I would only add that if you wire wrap the loop instead of using an eye pin the thread can never come out through that little break, though gravity makes that unlikely I prefer to be on the safe side. Also you can add a little glue to your thread knot to make that more secire since it's covered by the cone.

An illustration of a wirewrapped looped if you need it:

You would make this loop and tie your threads to it, add drop of glue then pull through the hole in the cone and make another loop, that's what you attach your clasp to. Same process for the other side. The very ends of your strands should be done with some tiny beads like seed beads or liquid silver so you can pull multiple strands into the cone. Ingrid
