I give up! E-bay question

I am so sorry I can't figure this our for myself but I am obviously too stupid.

Can anyone tell me how you get a background colour in an e-bay ad?

I have tried and tried and I can't figure it out.

It seems everyone has these nicely bordered descriptions with images and I just can't figure out how to do that and I can't even get the regular BGCOLOR="black" tag to work.

I'm stuck!

Can anyone help me please?

Hi Sandy,

You can go the easy way and pick a background that eBay offers with their Listing Designer feature. It's on the same page that you add pictures and costs

10 cents per listing.

Or, you can download their Turbo Lister listing software (free) and then you can choose one of their backgrounds at no cost. You can get more info on Turbo Lister here:

you can use HTML to add your own background. Here's a tutorial thatexplains how to do that:

If you know any HTML coding, what you need to do is design a little web page, then copy & paste the whole thing into the "description" box. Your images are hosted off-eBay and you just put the links within the description.

If you want the background color just on your ad content you can do this:

(put your ad content here

OR

I think you can put in a and I think that will change the whole page (leaving all of Ebay's black text impossible to read).

Hope this helps!
