Great to still see some familiar names :) I was away for a long while due to computer problems. When the poor thing (computer) finally up and died on me, I got a new one...then my ISP dropped usenet. I'm not a fan of google groups, but I really missed the beading community :)

Carla, Google groups isn't ideal (the feed to one of the moderated groups I'm a member of has been broken for a long time). DH subscribes to something called usenet.com for $4.95/month. I got used to Google groups, but I've used it for years.

I've never been gone, just real quiet. I can't do much beading due to arthritis, but I managed to make a bracelet last week by being reeeeeal careful.
