Merry Christmas from Shirley

Dec 20, 2007 13 Replies

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas. I am sending my greetings while I can. Not as it is so merry for us. We went to a funeral of a nieghbour of 50 years this morning. Whilst we were getting ready Dh had a phone call to say that his sister had died. So Christmas will be very low key for us now. Hugs Shirley

Oh Shirley, my sympathies on your losses. I hope you find comfort with your family this time of year. I'll be thinking of you.

I am so sorry to hear this. I'm sure this Christmas won't be a merry one for you. Hoping the new year will be better.

Shirley, my thoughts are with you and your family. My brother in law for

55 years died on the 9th and it is a difficult time for his 4 children,my sister died 12 years ago, packing up their childhood house and dealing with lawyers whilst everyone rushes around getting ready for Christmas.

Take care of yourself and your husband.

Cheers, Jan

Thanks Jan. I had a strange moment this morning. The post arrived and there was a Christmas card from SIL that had been posted 3 days before she died. It is DH's birthday today. Hugs Shirley

Shirley, Sorry to hear of your losses. Loss is always worse around the holidays. It's natural to remember Christmases past and those of us who are no longer here to share, but I really believe they are in a better place, a different dimension where there is only happiness and they are relieved from pain and suffering. May time ease your hearts and faith carry you through these rough times. Remember, all of us on rcb love you and think of you often and with great fondness. Love,

Patti
