My first beaded cabochon

I saw the beaded cabochons in Bead and Button a couple of issues back and have been dying to try one. (I had to wait until I got some wire!) I haven't crocheted in years and years, but I remembered enough to get through. This is a Chrysacola (sp) cab that I got from someone at the Holland School. I am so thrilled. I think I'm going to be doing more of these! The beads are some odd ball thing I had. I'm not sure what they are but they look like cut up, irridized bugle beads.

Hi Susan,

I crocheted the bezel with 30g soft wire and then made the bail with 18 g. I was thinking if I made a knitted chain, with the matching beads (of which I don't have any more, but oh well, I'm sure I could find them), it would make a really pretty necklace.
