Welcome Rosie. This group is very kind and helpful, so ask anything about beadwork you would like to know. We all have to start from the beginning, some struggle and others take to it like a duck to water. We all have different tastes, so whatever you make and you like it that is all what matters.
Since I live in Uk and a lot of our things come from USA I will let the members of this group to give you advice on magazines etc.
I know if I cannot get anything over here I only have to yell to my friends across the pond and they will help me out.
So enjoy your stay with us and jump in often. Hugs Shirley

Hi Rosie.....
I too am a beginner, but my daughter got me a subscription to BeadStyle magazine at Xmas and I love it. I also haunt Chapters (book store here in Canada) and have picked up "Stringing" just about two weeks ago. Amazing things in that one too.
Like yourself, my questions are probably at the 'very beginner' stage. But I just keep on reading and trying things and so far, I am happy with my rather slow progress. "Inspiration" is the key, frankly. And I find that the folks on here provide me with a lot of that. Yes, this IS the place to learn, I think!!
Cheers.....Heather
Rosie, Welcome to the group. Although a lot of us are experienced beaders and sell our work, and some of us even make our own beads and sell them, some of us are beginners. You are welcome to join us. For a beginner I think I would recommend "Bead Style." That or "Bead and Button", though B&B seems to be getting more complicated lately. Patti

thanks gals!
Welcome Rosie! Everyone was a beginner once. ;-) Jump on in!
Welcome Rosie! I think Simply Beads, Step by Step Beads, and Bead Style are all great beginner mags. Bead and Button is my favorite, followed closely by Beadwork.
I look forward to seeing some of your work! One of the rules, you know, is that you've got to share some photos ;)
