Hello all.
I have been learning to make wire jewelry and have several pendants under my belt now and would like some opinions if anyone has a few minutes to spare. The link below goes to my "photo logbook" of my progress (or lack thereof).
Thanks!

Are you kidding? You have to be kidding. Lack of progress? Those are GORGEOUS!! I love the flowing nature of the wire. Just lovely.

What Kandice said...lack of progress starting from WHERE??? LOL
I love your wrapping, especially the choice of square wire (gotta get some of that), and you're getting some lovely cabs, too!
Welcome to the asylum.

This is my first official "me too" post. (I think)

I don't have Jesse Donnan's books but I'd like to add Kathy Peterson's "Creative Wire Jewelry" to your list, Elise.

Wow! Great work!
I like! And not the fru-fru look like I see a lot in wire wrap(not that there's anything wrong with that- I'm just not a fru-fru wire wrap type).
Hello all.

cool! That stuff was really "in' back in the 70's... I have a "wire wrap" ring in that style with a Tiger Eye cab that I cut myself.
I like the rhodonite pink one ---- can't tell from the pictures - are the pieces pins or pendants?
Cheryl of DRAGON BEADS Flameworked beads and glass
They are all pendants (slides).
And I just want to say a very BIG thank you for everyone who took the time to look and comment. At least it sounds like I am on the right track! :)
Tanya
You know, YOU have those tapes, someone else was asking about lampwork tapes, maybe we should all have a fund to purchase some tapes that would be the RCB library and we could circulate them. Or maybe that's a crummy idea, shorting the tape makers their due... Sounds like it would be a way for us all to have access to knowledge, even if we can't all afford the cds and tapes, though.
Try rolling the pin vise along the top of your thigh while you are sitting down. Easier than trying to spin it with your fingers.
I really wasn't sure about that one. It is sparkly, but as it came in an assortment of cabs I doubt it is an expensive stone.
Thanks! I passed by Preston's videos the first few times because I didn't care for the fancy wrapping either. But I kept coming back to the site again and again until I finally bought the intro kit. I'm not sure how my style will finally settle out, but I have a feeling "simple" is going to be the main ingredient. :)
Tanya
I like it! Very straightforward, excellent pictures, and good, clear descriptions.
I would love to be able to do that simply because if I like a tape, I will buy it, but I hesitate to do so without seeing it first.
What she said. I really like to see what I'm buying.
