The other mportant thing to do is research your market. Check out what deals we can get at wholesalers and discount bead suppliers. That's your competition.

In the end, "the price" is always simply what the market will bear.

As another friend of Bill W's, aside frm the substance, bars have other associations you would do well to avoid. Maybe try a restaurant.

I oncw got some cool glass in Arizona the the owner of a rock shop had picked up from a slag heap at a glass manufacturer's.

Also maybe a school would have some interesting glass. Especially an art school.

I will take your advice... and I am going to go on a glass treasure hunt real soon. :) Also I have many new friends searching and sending glass and glass items. It's a wonderful world when you open up and let people in. This is something that's totally out of my comfort zone, but that one day I just had to say soemthing... it was bad and I almost went over the edge.... but I didn't drink over it! :)) Am I am still alive!

yeah, my family has many of Bill's friends, so I didn't know if those would be a good source or not for you--having them broken up and washed first sounds best.

PS, that's a particularly good indicator that you might really benefit from extra B vitamins, especially 6 and 12. And watch your sugar intake---lots of us find it really depressing and also have troubles with sugar processing.

Yes I agree washing them and breaking them first would be the best. Recently I have been taking B-12 in the morning from a suggestion from another here and I know it's early, but I do feel better. I take a B-6 before going to bed with Zinc and Magnesium and that helps a lot when I remeber to take them. lol I love sweets, but my recent teeth problems have curved that drastically and now I am going through sugar withdrawls. But I do sleep better. :) Thanks for helping and the support.

there were lots of great ideas there that I'll check out when my daughters rocks get out of her tumbler. another one I thought of were thrift stores- get to know the staff and see if they'll save unsaleable glass items for you. I know there is a local Boulder artist, transplanted from my previous home in Urbana, Illinois, who worked with melted crayons. He was a bit of a whacko but did beautiful work. I heard that he had asked a local thrift store to save the broken crayons that were invariably donated to them for his work. I don't know how long they did that or even if he does that work anymore- have never seen it in Boulder AFAICR, but it gave me ideas. I had some kids come over years ago, one of whom stole my #4 Fisher Price "counting egg" so they were on the watch for that egg for about a year and never found it. :-(( Anyone have one? :-))

so, I'll be checking my local Savers, ARES and Salvation army- I'm thinking that downscale might be better than upscale since people are more likely to donate junk and that seems to be what we need. Half used Noxema jars, perfume bottles, etc.
