OT: A Beautiful Birthday

It all starts out with DH coming home at 1 today. Guess where I was...yep still in bed. I was so sick the night before I just needed the sleep.

I got up and got showered and dressed very comfy (cause I knew where we were heading.) We had leftovers here and started on our journey. The first stop was the glass store. Thank God I have an account there because I went nuts. First thing DH saw was all the new CBS and Zoozii tools they had ordered. Of course I wanted them all but my head came back out of the clouds. I got the small bead squeeze and the ZooziiDiamond. Then on to the glass. I stocked up on some glass I was out of and then I got some new Dark Silver Plum (everything they had which was almost a pound) and some pinks. I needed some bead release and that was it at the glass store.

Then we went to the place I had wanted to go....one of my most favorite places in Austin. We went to Spicewood Springs which runs under one of the roads in Austin. The Springs are very cool and it was 95 degrees today. It felt so good wading in that very cold water. We went hiking a way and played around. DH spotted a snake and turned 5 shades of white. I was laughing my butt off when I picked it up. It was a 4" green tree snake. LOL I'm sure we scared it just as bad as it scared DH. I put it off the path close to the water where he was heading in the first place.

I love going to the springs. It's naturally cool, there is lots of bedrock, and it just plain beautiful. There are several springs to choose from around here but it's my favorite and not on the most beaten path. No one else was out there and that's the way I like it.

BTW - we didn't take Trink. The last time I took her out she shivered for two days afterwards.

And since I don't like cake we went to Walmart this evening and bought my cheapy donuts. I can't eat a lot of them at one time but I like them. It's the closest thing to cake I can eat. DH lit a candle in the middle of one so I could blow it out.

It was one of the best birthdays ever.

I also pulled names for the birthday freebies. They will be posted tomorrow.

Starlia,

Sounds like a great day!

Poor Trink... she probably napped all day anyhow. What about Rowdy?

Trink did nap all day. We found a lovely home for Rowdy. I needed my Trinkett time and she needed to have me back. Rowdy is healthy, happy, and fatter than when she was here.

Cake physically makes me sick. I like to taste it as long as it is a small sample on the very tip of my finger.

Other than Red Velvet and my Dinette Cake, I can't stand it either.

I'm sorry Cheryl. I hate being sick and that would really suck. At least I was with you in spirit last night. I was sick as a dog.
