I have decided that I miss working in a school system so I am applying for 2 positions currently open in our little city. Prior to moving, last year, I was a junior high school secretary and the lunch program coordinator.
The first position is one block away! It is for a secretary, year round position, which means benefits and retirement fund. This is the school my daughter went to last year; she is starting high school this year (sob, shriek). I know the staff and have a high regard for the school.
The second position is part-time at a elementary school about 2 miles from here. I would be a Library aide 25 hours a week. That would be fun. I also could maintain my jewelry business with the second position.
I would still keep up my gallery presences with the first job, but I would quit doing shows, which would not break my heart. I find shows very stressful.
So, please send some good vibes and or prayers my way that things turn out well.
