OT: I need Sunshine !

OK I am getting pretty down here in Big D. I have not seen the sun since last FRIDAY. I am one of those people who need sunshine to survive. I love the feel of warm rays on my skin and face. When I don't have the sun I get really down. My brain seems to get all fuzzy like the clouds. I can't think straight. I don't realize it until there is a mass of dishes in the sink and I haven't picked up after my 2 1/2 year old in two days. My gosh my place is a mess! I better get crackin' McCrakin'! :)

After much persuasion my daughter has finally decided to take a nap today. Thank goodness. I am able to clean a little more now and get some business stuff done that needs to get done.

If anyone has any extra sunshine, please throw it in the Dallas area. It will be much appreciated. :)

Thanks for reading.

Amy D :)

Hmm - let's see if I can control the weather.... if so let there be sunshine in Dallas! (no guarantees though!)

Man. You would *croak* in the San Francisco Bay Area. I remember one July when we had 21 straight days of chilly fog.

Weather peeps say it's gonna be hot hot hot here so I'll deflect a few rays in your direction!

Yuck. I probably would. I love Texas for the sunny skies, but this winter had very few and now the spring. I wouldn't mind too much if we would get some rain. There is no rain in our area it is all south of us. We are just getting the clouds. We haven't even gotten a full inch of rain.

We had one summer of over 100 days of tempertures over 100. I loved it.

Same here. I'd be a sad little puddle with a few beads sticking out around the edges.

Our homes aren't built to handle that kind of heat. Boston considers a heat wave as "three days or more of weather over ninety degrees." Of course, that's at the airport, which gets a sea breeze - the ocean moderates the temperature. Even a mile or so inland, we usually have a five to ten degree temperature differential.

Me, I'd die (see above) after I probably became a psycho, with a rifle, in the belltower. That heat would kill me dead. And I'd take a few with me. ~~ Sooz

Come on up to Alaska. Darkest it gets is a few hours of dusk now.

Me too, but I'd die happy :) I *adore* hot hot weather. On the other hand, there's nothing quite like a hot flash when the temps are already in the broil zone.

Cheers, Carla
