OT Need to vent

Most of you know I just moved May 1st, and lost many important things in the move (which the moving company accepts no responsibility for and the Better Business Bureau ignores my compalint). I just got a phone call today that the apartment complex I moved into is going condo. They want $187,000 for a small one bedroom that doesn't even have central air.

Now I need to start looking all over again and traumatizing the cats and finding a reputable moving company and I just want this all to end.

This has not been a good year. I was screwed over by someone I thought was a friend, had a close friend be diagnosed with cancer of the brain, lungs, liver and bones, had to move, lost out on a condo and now have to move again. Yes, I know there are plenty of people worse off than me, but right now I feel pretty beaten. Any vibes that can be spared I'd appreciate.

Oh, Linda....sending you hugs and stuff. You've had MORE than your fair share of bad luck - don't feel bad venting or asking for support.

OH Linda - just take hugs from all of us... and keep repeating --

what doesn't kill you - makes you stronger. (beats throwing things at the cats) If you had household insurance coverage- they might cover the loss from the move.

Oh, it has been a lousy year; the whole moving thing is so disruptive--to have to do it again is miserable. No wonder you're feeling injured by fate. The only good thing is the luck lottery should be rolling your way pretty soon ... give the kitties a snuzzle and buck up. This too shall pass.

BTW, do you have a lease? A lease trumps a contract of sale ... check with your local legal hotline, but in Maryland, a new owner has to honor the terms of an existing lease. If you don't have a lease or it's month to month, that's another story. Your local association of Realtors or Bar Association should have some kind of help line.

Sending you lots of light and hope,

Nolly

I've been reading a great book called Life after Loss by Deitz. It's helped me tremendously after losing hubby, but the author points out that ANY loss causes grief - and several cumulative losses like yours can equal something major. Might help ya to read the book; screaming, ranting and crying helps too! :)

So do ((((((((((((((HUGZ))))))))))))))))

Linda -- a friend recently gave me this to say when I was really freaking out over something (something worth really freaking out over, actually!):

Here is what you can say when you are filling/cleansing yourself with white light (visualization):

The light of God surrounds me The love of God enfolds me The power of God protects me The presence of God watches over me Wherever I am God is

And, honey girl. If none of these things work for you, you can always move to California. That really worked for me (hoping to bring a smile to your face).
