Ohhh I HAVE to have this one, Thanks Cheryl!!!!
There is a group in England who did this a few years ago to raise money for cancer treatment for the husband of one of the members.
A movie is coming out about them in December.
LMAO I'd do it if I was covered entirely in beads. Oooo...that might be fun especially if dh helps. ;=)

see - you're getting in the spirit.....!!!!
I was thinking of that bathtub thing for myself --- you know - a old fashioned clawfoot bathtub filled with beads - with me in it, wearing nothing - but beads!

Hehee! A "bauble" bath!
I believe that's the one I got. All "mature" women.

I just ordered the Grange Guys calendar for my mom :-) Thanks for the link!
I'm in! I've always wanted to do a picture with nothing on from the waist up, just a couple of strategically placed goblets while I'm standing behind a bar.... Barbara Dream Master
"We've got two lives, one we're given, the other one we make." Mary Chapin Carpenter
It is done by a group of ladies from a branch of the Women's Institute in Yorkshire. Most of them are senior ladies. Some are taking part in the film others are being played by actresses. They are know as the Calendar Girls.

This is actually a SUPER idea, but it would be much better if more than just
10% of the proceeds went for the charity (which is what is given to breast cancer research from the sale of the wearingwool calendar).Carol in SLC
I Gotta have one. My sister was a spinner and weaver in Maine. I can picture her signing up to participate. So, in memory of her and her unique style and capacity to enjoy herself and life itself... I will hang this in my living room! Diana
Can you imagine? You would be fishing beads out of all sorts of odd places for weeks. Im thinking ears ala Kathys recent post.... sheesh... lol Diana
Psst....Diana. She could have her undies on and no one know.

Beady calendar - ooh- I'm in!!
Beating...
Oh, wait...beading calendar...
Well, I am in, both ways!!!
Mary
Shhhhhh...dont spoil my illusions... I picture her weeks later at a party... gently and absentmindedly scratching herself under the breast.. and saying... oh! in a startled voice..and jubilently pulling out a stunning lampworked bead and showing it off saying.. i wondered where that one went to! Diana :-)
LOL You have some fantasies! I had one of her finding some new form of toe jam. hehee
