OT -- seeing green

Exactly, Tina. I loved women (as people, LOL, sorry gotta watch what I say now) long before I grew to love men. There are so many facets to us.

I understand but I can't do it, LOL. Intellectually I will always see pink on my ceiling and it will drive me bat-shit crazy.

Throwing the white paint at Sooz.....(if she wasn't a vegetarian, would follow it up with a few guinea hens).

Sweetie, has anyone mentioned Killz? It's a super opaque white primer, wonderful for hiding all kinds of horrid paint (and even water stains). One coat of that, and your problems are over.

Wishing I could hop in my car and head your way (ANYWHERE but Tucson!!!)

The white room is done. I have only the closet to conquer, LOL.

Hi Becki,

Do you have color schemes for any of your rooms yet? The Kitchen?

Tina -- the kitchen is painted a creamy beige. It is great and I am leaving it that color.

It used to be orange... "International Orange"... My father didn't paint it that color-- that was the way it was when he bought the house. (The main room was a dusty rose color...).

Buster said he thought that was strange until he realized that your father was color blind.

Yeah... My father had thought it was a cocoa brown; he probably would have re-painted it if he had known it was "pink" before he moved all his stuff in. He weren't no sissy-boy, ya know.... Kaytee "Simplexities" on

The house we have under contract has deep teal walls in the dining room, which I love. The kitchen, however, is dark red. They don't go very well together. I'm planning to do the kitchen in lavender, on the blue side, not the red side. I wonder how many primer coats will be required to hide enough of the red so that it doesn't peek thru the lavender? Hopefully it won't be as bad as what you're dealing with. Barbara Dream Master

Barbara -- I can't answer that question for you, but would advise that it is worth asking your paint store that, then buying and using the primer as opposed to painting and painting and painting, then screaming, crying, cussing, and painting again. LOL. All I know is -- that is what it takes to cover green.
