OT: (sorta) Website Building

I've been watching with awe as so many of you take the plunge and build your own websites. Anyone have suggestions for where to go to purchase and register a domain name and build a website? I've looked at shoppingcartsplus.com and networksolutions.com. Suzanne Hye

Dreamweaver by Macromedia is great software. I know a little html, but with Dreamweaver I never have to use it. I am happy with my webhost:

(no relation). I don't have a shopping cart, but the tech support people at Dreamhost are very good and could surely advise you about setting one up. You can tell them I sent you ;) .

godaddy.com has cheap registration.

is great hosting - multiple e-mail accounts, shopping carts, auction software, many, many extras. Between my husband and myself, we host about 6 domains with them.

Oh, and we both use Adobe GoLive for site building.

Hi Suzanne.

I like

formatting link
for hosting. They have a great deal going on with

50gb bandwith and 1000mb storage for $9.95/mo. They've been very very reliable and we host 3 sites there. Customer service is good too.

I'm not sure how much their domain registration assistance is but they do offer that too.
