Sorta OT: Newly revised business card

Just follow the link under my sig and go to the business card album to see the newly revised card. It is the only one in the album.

Any comments are appreciated.

I like that a lot! The gold feather is a nice touch.

My only suggestion would be to buy your own domain name - adds to your professionality AND it's easier for customer's to remember.

Thank you for the suggestion Barbara. Right now buying my own domain name isn't an option due to money constraints, but it may be an option in the future.

The gold feather is standard on that card. It is a template for a business card from Microsoft Publisher.

Thank you Kandice. Even my hubby liked it better than the others I came up with before that. I like it, even though it is very symmetrical and even.

Marissa:

I would prefer it be assymetrical, and I see that you mention that you might prefer so, too.

As to the copy, I am not a fan of the "...caring mother" comment. I think I know what you're trying to convey, and I wish I could offer you a solution. I'm thinking about one.

I am sure that for some people, it will be a tie to you, they're moms, too, etc, but for others, it might be a turnoff. Personally, and this might sound crass, I don't care that you're a mom, or Lithuanian, or a Martian, UNLESS it is germaine to the business.

Don't you sew nappy covers (excuse me if I'm wrong). If so, then absolutely, the mom mention is a hook.

But beads, jewelry, scrapbooks, I can't remember what was on the card and I don't have the window open to look...it might not be germaine.

Maybe one card doesn't fit all?

Again, sorry that I can't offer a solution, just a problem...for me anyway.

I will put on my thinking cap, and see if I can't do better than just insulting your card.

I love Publisher! I use it for the newsletter I produce for the EGA. And I may have announcement to share in April regarding Publisher but I can't say anything yet.......... ;-)
