LNS Class!!!

Attended my first class today at our LNS. We learned ho to do punchneedle. It looks a LOT harder than it is - at least to me, anyway. At least *I* caught on fairly quickly. I had most of the background finished before the class was over! The class was taught by a local woman who makes her own designs (and sells them via the LNS, and a few other places), she even does little pieces that she make into 'rugs' for dollhouses! They were so cute - even had fringe on the edges and everything!

I thought it would be tacky to take my camera to the class, so I waited until I got home to take pictures of my project. They are posted in my webshots "stitchery" album (link in my sig), or you can follow this link and go directly to the first pic in the series

finished size of this project is about 3 inches square. I could really get into this kind of project, even though the needles are

*expensive*!

Congratulations on your new skill! Tried to teach dh - gave up - he would've done great injury to himself!

What's the name of your LNS & where is it located?

Some of us from Anderson have been wanting to come down & check it out, but didn't have any info on it, yet. We try to take daytrips about every 3 - 4 months to northern & southern Indiana & KY. Right now a part of our group is heading to CATS in Nashville. I'm feeling blue cause I have work & school, but next year I'll be back!!!! Meanwhile, maybe a trip to Bloomington on Friday would pick me up!

It's called Fancy Works, and it's located in the strip mall behind the Arby's on Hwy 46 west of Bloomington (It's actually closer to Elletsville). They're still fairly new and don't have much stock on fabrics, but will order for you!

Here's their website:
