New LNS!!!!

We finally have our very own LNS locally! A source for specialty fibers and fabrics!!!

They just opened in March, and are still 'filling their shelves', and building their web site

but at least we no longer have to depend on the big chain stores and their heavy leaning toward srcapbooking and 'stamping' (which I thought referred to the time-treasured tradition of collecting postage stamps from all over the world, but actually has to do with rubber stamps...), not to mention fake flower arrangements :D

While there's not much there, I am making my second trip since the beginning of the month to visit (an order came in yesterday, despite the order being placed during a US holiday week)!

When I was there last, I saw some punch-needle displays (finished projects), so I asked exactly what that was. One of the owners brought out a project she was working on, and showed me how it was done. Looks like something I might try - once my ever-growing stash of X-stitch is finally diminished LOL!

What does LNS stand for? I've seen it before and just can't figure it out.

Local Needlework Store as opposed to an Internet store. Some LNSs are both.

Sorry. :D

There are some in LNS Indianapolis, but we only go up there maybe, once a year?, so I've never even been to those.
