Sorta OT: Need Help with a logo

I know I asked this once before, but I need help with a logo again. I have finally come up with a name that I like, and I really don't know what to use for a logo. The name of my business, if you can call it that, is Marissa's Creations. I can't think of anything that seems appropriate for a logo for it.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you wish to view the business card I have come up with so far, you can view it here:

Sorry Alex,

I actually saved this message for later and the program sent it later for me rather than letting me send it when I had them up, they are up now.

And thank you, We are pretty fond of him and think he is the cutest baby what ever was a baby, but hey we are prejudice ya know...

I like the middle card best We found it difficult also when we where looking for a logo, we had a few people come up with designs but finally did it ourselves Do you want a logo that incorporates beads or something you make?

What I need is a generic logo of sorts. I don't just make things with beads like the card says. I also sew and do other types of crafts too. I would like to have a logo, but I can't think of anything appropriate that would encompass everything I do without taking a really crappy picture of a little bit of everything all in one picture...

Marissa - What is the pyramid and Organization text for?

Does most of what you do involve a needle?

I noticed your card designs tend to be boxy..do you prefer that over something a little more curvy?

The pyramid and Organization text is where the logo belongs. By boxy do you mean straight? I am unsure about what you mean by curvy...do you mean having an odd shaped card that isn't rectangular?

Hi Marissa,

Have you considered using no logo at all? You could use a fancier type for the business name in a larger font, and then just list what you do on the card in smaller, plain type.

just a thought....

OK...then that can be removed.

By boxy do you

I mean the text layout and the borders and design elements on the card.

I am unsure about what you mean by curvy...do you mean having

No, I mean the content on the card. I am not a very geometrical person, I like flowing lines and movement. =o)

How about something simple like this?

What program did you use to make that? I am using Microsoft Office Publisher that has preset layouts to pick from or you can make your own, I am just not very visual when it comes to designing business cards.

I used Paint Shop Pro.

I liked the first card best. It is clear and easy to read. Roxan "Marissa Undercofler" wrote in message news: snipped-for-privacy@adelphia.com...

It's almost there, just needs some tweaking. It's just a wee bit cluttered, it needs a focal point. Perhaps you could play around a bit more with text size and weight. Hope that's of some help :)
