This is gross and not really funny, so skip it if you have a weak stomach.
Both my sister and I are recovering from the flu. She came down with it two days before I did, and got a lot sicker. (Her doc didn't give her an anti-viral, because she saw him four days after she got sick) We have been calling each other regularly, because no one wants to listen to us complain about our symptoms.
My sister called me to see if I was still having lung congestion. I am, but I'm getting better, and said so. She told me that she was better, too - she was coughing up a lot of "brown loogies, and that's a good thing."
Brown loogies?
At my confused query, she asked me if my lung congestion meant that I was coughing up green phlegm. I was, but I'm doing better. She then reported that "I was coughing up a bunch of green sh*t, but it's brown and back to normal."
I told her that brown phlegm wasn't normal for anyone I know, and that perhaps she should consider quitting smoking. She was truly astonished, and thinks I'm pulling her leg. I must have made more of an impression than I thought, because my parents and my brother got phone calls, asking if they had brown loogies. (Glad I wasn't here to hear those conversations)
They all suggested that she quit smoking as well.
Told ya it was gross.
