This an interestung article. It's always nice to have your intuitive knowledge backed up by science.

I've also read someplace that most best friends are women. That men who have a "best friend" of the type we women have, it is almost always with a woman.

Interesting article. My friendships, online and in person are vital to me. At a recent dinner with my sis and long time friend of 20-odd years, we screamed so much (with laughter) that my BIL said he could hear us from the street. That's got to be good for us!

Thanks for posting this. I just forwarded the URL to my Women's Circle, one of whom has just lost her partner of 28 years. It is good to know of solid evidence that our support can help her stay physically stronger and help her make it through her pain in the present better than she could on her own.
