Yes African penguins. I loved those too! The Memphis Zoo received Le Le and Ya Ya last year on loan from the Chinese government those were my first priority. The penguins were just icing on the top.

Love the Penguins, am jealous of the ducks (I could deal with living in a penthouse in the Peabody hotel) and I'm really glad that I don't have to be near the panda.

Anyone else see "Growing Up Panda"? - I used to like pandas until I saw that show - those animals are the most miserable things on Earth. Forget the bamboo shoots, they should be dropping Prozac by the case all over their habitat. I just couldn't believe that such cute, cuddly looking things could be such a pain in the butt. [/rant off]

Looks like you were having a wonderful vacation, though!

She is. I thought it was a red-headed kid next to Dan on the carousel, and it took me a moment to grok that it was _our_ Starlia, and not that she named her child after herself.

Bear with me. It's been a long night, and I'm definitely mental.

You are too cute. It's been a long night for me too although I actually got some sleep today.

Hehe...I'll have to tell him that. He'll probably turn bright red. LOL

I'm jealous of the ducks too. They only work 3 months of their lives and then are shipped off to a sanctuary to live out the rest of their lives in luxery.

I had no idea Panda's were a PITA. They were so sweet and playful at the zoo. I didn't see the special but I'll be looking for it until they replay. Please let me know if you see it coming on anytime soon if you remember.

I did have a good vacation but I wished I had remembered to take photos of Candace and myself together. She's a sweetie and cute as a button.

I wish I had taken a pic of you and Dare playing on the playstation:)

Did I look awful? I let me face tell all my emotions and I was doing all I could to learn how to play.

Nope, you looked like what I think I look like when playing against him--hopelessly outmatched! But then you took it to the next level--you whooped him. I have _never_ seen that kid so happy about losing _that_ game. His getting to play his favorite game with someone new made his week, Starlia.

Awe. I'm glad he enjoyed the game. I was a little freaked that he was happy to lose since it's his favorite game.

I know! You'd think he'd have thrown a fit.

That's what was so weird. And I didn't even realize I had won until one of you told me. LOL

I don't care where he is - as long as it's not here.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.
