OT: webhosting HELP!!

I haven't been able to access my own webpage for *DAYS*, and I can't contact my web host. I've written them ten times, and they send back "form letters" that direct me to an online area for responses to my emails. HOWEVER... I get nothing but error messages ("Invalid email or ticket key"). [Note: It's my email and *their* ticket key, so wtf!]

Anyway, my host is VeoWeb (buyers beware!), and if anyone here uses them and has a *real* phone number or person or email that they could give me, I'd be *beyond* grateful.

I am so p*ssed, I can't see straight anymore........

The only phone number they give out is supposed to be an answering machine where you leave your number and they call you back. HA! It's broken. It just starts to ring, and then instantly turns to a busy tone. I know cuz I hit redial for OVER AN HOUR (yes, I'm that desperate and that mad), and it never did anything but "rin............BUSY!" Sigh.......

Oh, abso-damn-TOOT-ly! When I did, it said, "Click the button below to speak to one of our representatives." The only button there said, "CLOSE WINDOW." Sigh........

WOW! How did you know they'd gone under?? You may be right... Unfortunately, I paid for *TWO YEARS* in advance! The good news is that my second year is almost up. Sigh........

And no, I *don't* have my files saved!!!!!!!!!! Although, it's possible a friend who helped set them up may have them on her computer. I'll have to ask........

They are now saying I have acceeded my "bandwidth" (whatever the hell that is), so all my links are "suspended". The homepage is the only one that works. What a drag this is.

Oh crap! Have they really, for sure? That sucks! I was just getting a sense of forboding... but I hope I'm wrong. :(

Oh! Well that's not so bad at all... it means you're getting a lot of traffic, more than your account is set up to handle. You might want to ask a web developer friend to help you find out where most of teh traffic is coming from... if it's actual individuals checking out your site that's great! It just means you'll need to pay for an account that allows for more traffic.

if you can cut down on size or resolution of images, background, or some such, you may be able to get away with the same bandwidth and more traffic ...
