Pet Peeve on Procedural Issues

(reposting this from another thread to where it really belongs)

I just wanted to say, on a procedural note, that I appreciate Soozie's "one answer fits all" instead of answering each post individually. There are some here who must answer each post, and after a while it just clogs up the newsgroup. Any who feel they can consolidate their answers will be greatly appreciated, by me at least.

I tend to feel the same way. While I do feel a tad guilty for not having time to post an individual response to everyone who responds to me, I do find that I have a lot less time to post individual responses lately. Same with reading them. :) So I generally try and wait until a bunch of people have answered, then post a response to all at once. Saves time and space. I hope people don't feel hurt by that! :)

vj found this in rec.crafts.beads, from "Kandice Seeber" :

i understand that you might feel that way. i hope you understand that i don't. if someone takes the time to read a post i made, and respond, at the least i feel they deserve a thank you - especially if i have asked a question. at least that way, they know i did see it and are not being ignored. if i don't respond, for some reason it may not have made its way to our server [rare, but it happens]. also, sometimes the thread continues into what, for me, are worthwhile discussions. you never know here where "nuggets" are found. i find information i clip and save from unlikely threads all the time.

I do want people to know one thing: I have a policy of NOT saying stuff like "I'm sending well wishes, prayers, and vibes" about 99.9% of the time, just for this reason. It does *not*, however, mean I am not sending the prayers/vibes/whatever. It means I'm not posting about it. ~~ Sooz
