I wish I was doing those things you mention that keep you from beading. And I'm finally feeling enough better that I can get going on that business. Eeeks, and I need to get your beads paid for. (I was amazed at how badly that auction went. Must be everyone else is sick too).

Tink, that sounds GORGEOUS!!! and should be very inspirational for work, too.
My oldest son is profoundly greatful to have been born a boy, as we were going to name him "Magenta" and call him Maggie if he'd been a girl. Sarajane

I used Valspar paints in the kitchen and bedrooms, and had the least messy, easiest painting experience ever. I highly recommend it. Sarajane

ohh, that's you? I'm glad!!! Always happy when they go to a good home!!
Auctions/sales in general are just not happening much, and haven;'t for a while. I find that my bead sales in general are a pretty good general economic indicator without the BS that the commentators keeping shoveling on hopefuly. Things are still tight for real people, no matter how certain large corporations may be doing. Sarajane

You could have named him Riff Raff.
:-)
My DH looks more and more like that if he grow his hair..and I looked like Magenta in years past, before the color grew out of my hair! Sarajane

That's what haircoloring is for.

Tink, would a stool be helpful? Or one of those taller chairs used with tall drafting tables (they're just like office desk chairs only taller)?
I don't do very well on a backless stool, but I've seen the drafting chairs and I *think* that would work. They have a "foot ring" on them so you can rest your feet. I have such short little legs that when I sit on normal size chairs and sofas, my legs dangle. Feels silly. Probably looks even sillier. As for torch seating, I just want to make sure that if I should drop hot glass on me that I can stand up fast.
Really fast.
I was being slightly hasseled by DM and DSis about buying some new clothes for DS, while we were staying in Port Macquarie. We're not made of money and he'll grow out of them before too long anyway (0 is a nice fit on him ATM and the stuff that was bought for him is 1, but if he continues growing at the rate he has been even that won't fit him for long! He should slow down about 6 months, but he's 5 1/2 months now and shows no sign of slowing down!)
They do grow very fast, and without our permission, I might add...LOL.
vj found this in rec.crafts.beads, from "Tink" :

you need to see the video Nicole's boss showed at a meeting of how the Czech lampworkers have their tables set up. NO repetitive stress injuries!

I totally hear you about being short...altitudinally challenged....I'd love having a drafting chair myself, for when i'm cutting fabric for quilts. But i'll have to settle with my wooden stools for now.
This video sounds like something especially useful.
Wow... I would love to see that!
