Worked earlier today. Working at the customer service desk at a regional department store (one of the only two that do free gift wrapping) can wear a beader out. :-)

I'm getting ready for the furnace installation and getting my studio whipped into shape. I bought some base cabinets, unfinished. They each have four drawers. I'll be putting my work surface on top of that. But first, I have to prime them and paint them. Bleah. I hate painting. I do love the colors I chose though!

Just too much going on with the holidays, and I'm trying to finish Christmas gifts for my sister and neices. Sheesh! How do I do this every year? They may be getting New Year's presents instead! Lol. Or as my friend reminded me, I can still make the 12 days of Christmas!

Lol. A friend of mine celebrates her 12 days of birthday. I said that I'd messed up because I only used my birthday for a week, "You have to be nice to me, it's my birthday week. You have to do the dishes, it's my birthday week.............." I should have had a few more days!

I'm fried and full of big decisions about my life, LOL. Need a couple of days to get my thoughts and my life organized!

Ooooh! I painted the 4-drawer bases high-gloss black, then both top drawers were painted Madame Magenta, the second drawers down were painted Space Blue (a great bright teal), the third drawers are Tiki Green (kinda lime green), and the bottom drawers are Purple Flurp (perfect, GLORIOUS purple)! All high-gloss.

Then I put my fingers in the paint cans and slung color all over the black bases. Way, WAY cool!

These colors are from the Nickelodeon line of Valspar paints at Lowe's.

Today I drove to Cleveland to look at (and buy) two high-quality stainless table tops: 56" X 26" and 67" X 31". They were super cheap, and worth the drive, even though I detest driving to Cleveland. The larger of the two will slip over the top of my current work surface like a glove, once I trim the current work surface down just a wee bit.

This should make for a great torching table, provided I can solve the "table is too tall" dilemma. I may learn to work standing up again.

I sure will! I just finished putting the final coat of Purple Flurp on the drawers. I can't wait to slip the drawers in the bases!!! I have never done anything like this before, and I feel like a kid with a new box of crayons. I had NO idea how they mixed paint at the store. It was astounding to watch. You can take ANYTHING IN and they can magically mix paint to match it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am pretty well packed. Picked up a pile (OK, 18) of those plastic containers last weekend and that should do it. Doubt if I use them all, LOL, but they were cheap.

OK, THIS part doesn't sound like too much fun, but the rest of it sure did! I hate driving to Cleveland too, but love being there.
