That is a good question, Alison.
Actually, for me, meeting someone mostly has to do with my budget and my schedule. For example, I would not have gone to BABE if I didn't already need to be in Oakland for family business.
Similarly I hope I'll be able to be in Houston for a show sometime and will hope/plan to meet another RCBer or two. I will keep that in mind the next time I go there to visit my mother. I will start asking questions as the opportunity approaches, and will ask a couple people where we might meet.. (And hope for the best).
It that a lot more forward than shy people could do?
