If it's under a thousand, that would be tragic.

For 400 beads? I don't know. Up to $1,000. Maybe more.

Wow! I'm guessing $500 or up.

Yanno, I always hush on these topics but I'm gonna vent (short). This is ridiculous! Why on earth put out that many beads for such a low price??? She's ripping herself off! That's just plain sad. Right now she's averaging

50 cents per bead. Good grief!

Because she knows her customer base...

Well, she says that some are experiments or seconds. I imagine they didn't get into her usual groupings because they aren't up to par with her usual auctions (I think she is quite a perfectionist).

It also starts a healthy bidding war. You never want to start with what your item should sell for. Most people want to think they are paying the price they want, not the one you want. Just MHO, but I worked at an auction and it was the same.

Well, she does say that a lot of them are seconds in her mind - beads that are a little off - mismatched, etc. Sometimes the lower price is worth all the time and money saved by listing all at once rather than listing a few at a time. IMO.

at once rather than listing a few at a time.<

Oh, I bet *that's* really true! With all the time she saved, she can spend it making more beads!!

How to know you've lived in the south for ahile now: When you look at the closeups of beads and the expression that hops, unbidden out of your lips is, "Boy Howdy!!".

I bet that they go for $850, because actual value is rarely achieved.

I did, and found the wording especially well put. She's very obviously a pro, even without looking at the fabulous beads!!! Sarajane
